Beating porn.

I just uploaded these resources onto our “PORN ISSUES” page, but I wanted to share them with you through this as well.

Both sources are from Tim Schmoyer {lifeinstudentministry}.  Both are great to view and share with others who are struggling with porn addictions.

His article: How to beat porn before it’s too late.

In the video and article, Tim recommends using Covenant Eyes for your computers – at work and at home.  Even though I’m not addicted to porn anymore (praise God), I am still prone to being tempted by images and memories.  Maybe it’s time I set up my own safety-nets before I get into situations that are dangerous.

Thanks, Tim, for the reminder.

  1. My friend, as a fellow man and addict, I would suggest that we can never be free from this one. Sober, and sincere (having been sober over 3 years), but never quite free on this side of heaven. I don’t have Covenant Eyes, but I’ve heard they are good. I chose long ago the road of recovery through Celebrate Recovery and SA. I’m not saying it works for everyone, but I’ve never met someone it didn’t work for.
