Speaking at Living in the Tension

Just wanted to let you know that I will be speaking at the next “Living in the Tension” on Monday, November 7.  The LITT nights are sponsored by The Marin Foundation (Andrew Marin), with the intension of sparking honest and healthy conversation about controversial subjects.

Here is the blurb they posted about Monday’s conversation:

For the upcoming Living in the Tension community gathering on November 7th, our friend Shawn Harrison will be sharing with the group about a part of his journey with faith and sexuality followed by a Q&A portion. Shawn is a youth pastor who has same-sex attractions but has chosen to pursue marriage with his wife of ten years. We will be meeting at our usual spot in Room 120 on 5255 N. Ashland Ave. at 7pm.

We hope to see you there.

For more information about what Living in the Tension is, read this post by Marin.

I, too, hope to see you there.

  1. I’m not anywhere near Chicagoland, so I can’t be there. I’m sure it will be a very worthwhile evening, and it would be nice to have a synopsis of what you present and the discussion. If Andrew posts one, perhaps you can give us the link; and if he doesn’t, I hope it’s not too much to ask you to post your own recollections.
