The purpose of this blog is simple: proclaim God’s identity and wholeness.
Starting in 2007 as a personal blog to tell my journey with same-sex attractions, things have morphed over the years into a ministry God is using to reach thousands of people, families, and church leaders. While there are varying topics discussed on this blog, the main themes covered are homosexuality and the Church.
My passion is to see renewal in the Church. A renewal in mission. A renewal in living. A renewal in theology. And it’s my conviction that this renewal begins when the Church secures itself in God’s identity, brought about by the Holy Spirit through the finished work of Christ.
I deeply believe the Church can be who Christ commissioned us to be in this world – and in our local communities. But it’s gonna take us surrendering everything to Christ, and living through His fullness as the Spirit guides our actions, words, and understanding.
Besides being a pastor with the Christian & Missionary Alliance, I help local churches develop a ministry and heart for those dealing with same-sex attractions. I also walk beside families and individuals who are seeking support.
If people desire pastoral counseling, this can be done via email, Skype, phone, or face to face (if local).
If your church is interested in having me speak on homosexuality or being a restorative community, please email me. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of speaking in churches, colleges, and national conferences. Some of the more notable places have been Taylor University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Huntington University, Hope for Wholeness Conference, and Simply Youth Ministry Conference.
While I love sharing God’s story and word with people all over, my top priority resides with the church I pastor in Greenville, OH. If I can make things work out, I would love to come and share with your church.
